Tranquility Press

Hi All! Welcome to Tranquility Press: a new hub of worldbuilding Literature, media and support for Star Trek fans and more!

Since the beginning of this year, we (Andy, Hye and John) have been mooting the idea of combining our efforts to support each other and other fan writers in each of our madcap projects. Together, this has grown from cursory ideas into Tranquility Press, a bold attempt to support the community of writers, worldbuilders and artists that make Star Trek – and fandom in general – great. The responce to We Have Engaged the Borg has shown that there is not only a desire for more content like this, but a real interest from others in telling their own stories. And that is something that should always be encouraged.

Our goal with Tranquility Press is to provide fellow worldbuilding artists and authors a shared resource space by which to trade, collaborate, and draw inspiration from different ideas for different niches within Star Trek’s universe. Pulling from any and all sources of Trek’s Alpha, Beta, Kelvin, and written work-published canons, contributors can either submit their long-form projects to be hosted by a webring-style landing page, or submit one-shot works that can be classified as anything from theoretical political parties, maps, prospective galactic faction timelines, cultural suppositions, and more. 

We’re starting with slow steps now, with links through to each of our projects (We Have Engaged the Borg, The Ohinaka III Project and The Edge of Midnight) as well as a resource page with a collection of (hopefully!) useful links. We have also opened up submissions for long and short form literaure, so you can post your work here with us too for an audience to support!

Soon we’ll begin to process and develop the site: adding new writing and launching our advertisments section. This will allow creatives – artists, graphic designers and commissioner writers – to advertise their work in a single space.
